I just need to know though. Is it just a TV thing or aren't they supposed to ask you how you plead? Is it assumed that your plea is not guilty if you set up a court date to fight it. It just seems strange to me that they never asked me my plea. |
My response:
If you demand a trial, the presumption is that your plea is innocent, and that's the way it's entered into the Minutes. If you had pled guilty at your pre-trial hearing, then there wouldn't have been a need for a trial, would there?
