speed ticket TX, NOT PAYED

back in 1997 I was ticked for speeding...7 milles up the limit.
I was a foreign student but had an international driving license with me.

I never payed the tickeT and left the country.
Now as a US CITIZEN I want to pay the ticket.

Should i go and pay the ticket....I dont want to go to jail!

PLEASE NEED HELPP!!
