Speed Trap on Private Property

What is the name of your state? New Jersey

Can a Police Officer set up a radar trap on private property without the owner's consent/knowledge?

Is this township/town specific?

Thanks

Yes, the police can run radar while sitting on private property w/o owners consent. However, if the owner asks the officer to leave the property , he would have to leave. Doesn't make for good police/business relations though.

My apologies for not being clearer, this was actually someone's private residence driveway. It's a rural area, so many houses have 100+ foot, curving driveways. The cop was sitting at the bottom of the driveway. But it may not matter whether it is a residence or business.
