Question

Speeding 110 in 65

What is the name of your state? NY

I got pulled over in NJ for going 110mph on a 65mph zone. The cop gave me a total of 4 tickets; speeding, reckless driving, causing a risk, and obstruction of view. My main concern is the points on my license, i dont mind paying the fine but i cannot afford my insurance going any higher. Before this, my driving record is completely clean, this was the first time i ever got pulled over. Is there any way for the points not to get carried over since i am out of state?

As far as my next question is concerned, isnt causing a risk the same thing as speeding and reckless driving?

and my final question is if i was to get a lawyer which i think i should, should get a local NJ lawyer or a NY one?

I would really appreciate your advice

No, your insurance won't go up, because NY doesn't count the points that you get outside the state, but you gonna get some points on your NJ driver's record.
Definitely take a lawyer. Where will the hearing take place? If in NY take NY lawyer, and vice versa.
