| speeding in Connecticut I just got a speeding ticket in Avon, Connecticut. Cop said I was doing 61mph in a 40mph zone. Ticket accorded at the bottom of Avon Mountain where that huge 14 car pileup happened a couple weeks ago. Now this is a big hill when your coming down. I have a green light to go at the intersection where I downshifted to 3rd gear to slow my car while applying the brakes. When your coming down the hill you can not see much due to trees on each side. Once I passed the intersection and the trees, the cop just appeared to pull me over.
I know for a fact theres no way you have time to catch me after I pass the intersection, check my speed with the radar gun, turn on lights and chase me for only about 300 feet.
But cop gave me a misdemeanor summons and complaint where I have to appear in court next week. No ticket amount just appear in front of the court and hope for the best. He made me sign this paper. Weird thing is he wouldn't let me read the front or back of this paper. He wouldnt even give it to me to hold to sign it better on the wheel. He held it in his hand on the window and made me sign. He explained what it was but I still wanted to read it. Anyways on this paper I got a copy after I says Visibility C and Area B. Does anybody know what this is or any excuse so when i go to court I can fight it? thanks |
