| | | | I got a ticket for speeding on interstate 84 today. The officer was a local town police officer who just got on the highway. He paced my car @ 80 in a 55.
Does a local municipality police officer have the jurisdiction in NY to issue me a ticket on an interwstate highway? I thought only State Police had the authority. Thanks for any advice or information given. |

| | | If the highway was within the officers jurisdiction, yes he can pull you over. | |
