i got an 80 in a 55 and the cop put a manditory court appearence on my ticket because he claimed i had 3 tickets in a year. i argued with him because the dates were 2/99 (DUI) 9/99 (speeding). the fist is 17 months ago and the second is 12 but all he would say is its not a calender year and don't argue with him! i called the court house which is 2 hrs. from where i live--she said i had to go even if the officer made a mistake. can i do anything? if i have to go (causing me to miss work)can i get it dismissed for the officer's mistake?
