speeding ticket

What is the name of your state? ohio

my teenage son recently received his first speeding ticket in a small town known for writing tickets. He had no written warnings before this!
He was going 36 in a 25 mile zone. I was informed that he will probably lose his license for thirty days.
I noticed that the officer didn't mark on the ticket the section on how it was determined that my son was speeding such as radar, air, vascar, pace and etc. Should I question this or just let it go and pay the ticket?

I assume that you are talking about New Rome, Ohio. You may want to go to

and follow the link to New Rome. The Ohio traffic law is difficult to research so you may want to talk to an attorney familar with the state's traffic laws. I could find nothing to indicate that his license would be suspended but that doesn't mean it is not in there somewhere. The DMV should be able to tell you. Also check with them on his eligibility to take traffic school and have the ticket dismissed.

Here is a typical New Rome story. If you still have to go to Franklin since your son is a minor you may have a shot at getting it dismissed.

"I was driving through New Rome about 4 years ago with 2 friends (we were all 17 coming from Westland High School). A New Rome cop followed us all the way to Lincoln Village to pull me over because we looked suspicious. He then proceeded to search (tear up) my car, again because we look suspicious. He gave everybody a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt (which we all know better than to drive through New Rome with out a seatbelt) which we were wearing until he made us get out of the car. Then he gave me a ticket for my tags because the came off of my old car and I had the sale receipt showing this car had only been purchased 3 days before. The real beauty of the story is that everyone had to pay their tickets through Franklin County since we were all minors at the time and the judge made a comment about "New Rome wasting his time" and dismissed all charges against me and my two friends. New Rome didn't win this one."

For anyone not familar with New Rome it was dubbed by ABC's 20/20 as the number one speed trap in the nation. Actually I had heard that the entire police force had been suspended. Anybody with info please email me.
