What is the name of your state? Nevada
I recently got a speeding ticket on I-15 South near Baker, CA. According to the State Trooper, I was doing 87 mph above the limit of 70 mph and I humbly admit he was accurate. I received my court notice/bail letter in the mail and the fine is $283 plus $29 for traffic school info.
What are my chances of reducing this fine if I go to court and request the judge to reduce my fine and that I am more than willing to go to traffic school?
I would have to travel 2 hrs to go to court which I'd rather do than pay over $300 (should I choose just to pay the bail amount) and avoid the increase on my insurance premium.
All advice is truly appreciated. Thank you.
