speeding ticket

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
I received a speeding ticket in Kern County. When I was pulled over I am sure I was speeding, at about 80, not the over 100 for which I was sighted. Although I did not argue with the office, I am sure the reason he ticketed me was because he also pulled over and ticket another car of my exact model and color. He said he got a radar on us both at the same time for the same speed. When he pulled me over, he actually pulled next to me and on a speaker told me to follow him. I followed him ( at a great distance as I couldn’t keep up with him) for almost 10 minutes in order to catch up to the other car that was according to the very upset officer was traveling without license or insurance.

I think I have only had one other speeding ticket in the last 15 years, at maybe 15 miles over the limit on a highway.

Does anyone know how I can get a copy of the other ticket so I can defend myself at the hearing (5/20/09)?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You cant! At least not from the court and not from the officer.

But you can question the officer about what transpired at the time.

Also, considering you and the other driver were cited on the same date, might suggest that you will be appearing in court on the same date. You can look for the other driver and ask him/her for a copy of his/her citation.
