Speeding Ticket in Maine04-16-06 I was clocked via radar doing 29mph over the speed limit in a 25mph zone. The ticket was issued to the proper vehicle, proper license etc. however it fails to state which M.R.S.A. I was in violation of. Im wondering what my best course of action is against this ticket, to this day my driving record is spotless and this was my first ticket. It was late at night, no other traffic, pedestrians etc... Is my best bet simply to attempt to plead it down based on my prior driving record? |

| Yep, pretty much the only solution is to plea bargain, and hope you get the fine reduced. Look up the points assigned to know what the speed level differences are (maybe none, for all I know). Take it or leave it, your choice. Unless there was a gross violation of your rights, which you can prove, a simple error on a ticket is not likely to cause any dents in government's case (rock solid as far as I can tell). |
