Speeding Ticket MDWhat is the name of your state? MD I received a ticket for speeding this morning 79/55. the person in the car with me agrees I was not going 79. The cop said he clocked the car in front of me going 66....the car was maybe 20 ft in front of me. I signed the ticket. Afterwards, I asked the cop if I could see the radar...he said no and walked away. Is it possible to fight this ticket in court? Thanks |

| You can pretty much fight any ticket in court...

reaskI know I have the right to see the radar. Would this help my chances if I took it to court, or do judges really not care about whether or not I was able to view it? Last edited by toomanydoses; 07-19-2004 at 11:12 AM. |

| I don't know about that. But I would think that the actual number from your speeding ticket on the radar would have been long erased by the time you go to court. You can ask when the radar was last calibrated. Be sure to take the person who was in the car with you, as this may help. Were you sited for exceeding the posted speed limit or excessive speed? This may make a difference, but then again, I'm in California. So my input may not apply.
