What is the name of your state?I'm from PA, got a speeding ticket in NY.

23mph over the speed limit. i want to know if the points go on my PA record?

here's the discrepency as has been discussed here (and many other places) before:
"Although reported to PENNDOT, minor traffic offenses such as
speeding, red light, stop sign, etc., will NOT appear on your driving
record. Points will not be assessed to your PA driving record when
convicted of a point related offense in a DLC member state."

some claim this is true, others claim it's not...what is the actual truth on this matter? in another thread, someone called the DMV and they said the points do transfer, but how can that be, it goes against the above stipulation?

lastly, is there a distinction between my record and what my insurance company can find out? could the points not show up on my record but still be reported to my insurance company?

Thank you very much.

it just makes no sense--why would it be reported to PA but not show up on my record? What's the point of reporting it at all? For insurance purposes, can they find out?? Very confusing...
