Speeding ticket in ohioWhat is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? ohio I got a citation for speeding in ohio state. My license belongs to Texas state. This is my first one.I was speeding 24 over the limit (89 in 65 zone). What options do I have for dismissing the citation and avoid any points on my driving record??? I called ohio court and found out that they dont have defensive driving option and they are gonna report to texas state about my citation after I pay the fine. Its upto them to deduct any points on my driving history.SO what can I do now?? Please advice me . |

| This will be two points on your Texas license and also will show for insurance points. Your only options are to either pay the ticket or plead not guilty and try for a reduction or dismissal. This usually means showing up on your court date. |

| You could contact the district attornys office I believe and ask if you could file an injunction. Allot of states will. Basically you pay the court cost and a fine. And if you keep a clean driving record for six months, the offense does not get put on your record, they throw it in the trash. ![]() |
