I was driving along PA turnpike(West) and recieved a speeding ticket near Somerset Rest Area on the turnpike. The cop car was behind a bridge just beyond the entry ramp(lane) of the rest area. I was given a ticket for driving at 81 on a 65 limit. I am planning to plead not guilty but do not think it will be possible for me to attend the hearing. I want to know if it is possible to submit a written affidavit explaining my case instead of a personal appearance. I know it is possible in Florida. Any response would be very appreciated.
