Speeding ticket in South Hill, VirginiaWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia Hello, My daughter was visiting from Georgia and got a reckless speeding ticket in South Hill, Virginia on US 58. What are the possibilities for her. She has no other moving violations. She was doing 89 in a 60 zone. Any advice for a young woman? ![]() |

| Yep. Have her go to court on the date/time ordered and present her defense for driving like an idiot.
__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

| Get a lawyer familiar with the court she is charged in. She may or may not need to appear. Some courts in Virginia will allow her to be tried in absentia (in which she will be found guilty) and pay a substantial fine. However, some courts will allow the charge to be reduced or dismissed for certain drivers with clean records. However an out of state driver at 89 over 60 isn't likely to get a complete dismissal. The lawyer can tell her over the phone if there is anything he can do for her. |
