Speeding ticket when not speeding

What is the name of your state? Michigan
I recieved a speeding ticket in Ottawa County in Michigan.
I was not speeding. A jeep had passed me and I tried to explain to the policeman
but he would not liisten. What recourse do I have?Ticket was for 45 in a 35.
My driving rrecord is clean other than this? I am 50 years old
I am worried
Please help.

This is a very minor speeding ticket that probably will not increase insurance so there is really nothing to worry about. Show up on your court date and the judge may dismiss with court costs but I do not know the normal procedure in Michigan other than it is normally an informal hearing.

Nothing in your posts indicates that you weren't speeding. Another car passing you is not proof that you weren't speeding...maybe the Jeep was doing 55 and you were doing 45?
