Speeding Unsafe speed

What is the name of your state? Texas

I was riding my motorcycle when I had an accident. I got in some gravel on a sharp turn and slammed into a guard rail. The officer wrote me a citation for speeding -unsafe speed. The officer asked how fast I was driving, and I told him that I was driving the speed limit. How can I beat this?

The officer is basing the ticket on his determination that the accident happened on a sharp curve that required a slower speed. The fact that you wrecked is his proof that you were driving too fast. The violation is not tied to the speed limit.

You could base your defense that your speed was safe, the problem was the unexpected road hazard. Were you with any other riders that could testify? You could take pictures of the scene showing the gravel and you may get a Harley riding judge that has done the same thing.
