Speeding Violation: 79Mph in 65Mph (Is it worth taking a lawyer?)

State: New Jersey
Violation: 14Mph over the speed limit (Court Apearance not required)

My mom she is a 42 years old driver. Never had a ticket for the last 8 years. We went to our Insurance Agent today, she told us to get a lawyer, which is 250 - 350$ plus ticket cost is 160$ and it's a 2 pointer.

Question: Is it worth taking a lawyer and endening up paying around 500$? is there is anything we can do without a lawyer? Should we just pay a ticket? what are the procedings? None of us ever had any violations, so that's why everething is very unfamiliar to us.

Thanks,

John
