Question

Speeding violation in Cali

Alright this is what happened to me. I was driving my gt mustang at around 11:30 and i was pulled over on the 15, for doing approximately 96 in a 70(very bad idea). There was basically no one else around maybe one or two cars within a half mile vicinity. But my question really doesnt have anything to do with that. My court date was set for the 3rd of january. I heard a rumor that if the cop does not show up for the court date you get out of it. Im considering this because the ticket says his vacation days are the 24th of december thru the 4th of january. during my trial time. What do you guys suggest? Oh and another thing. He also gave me a fix it ticket for my front side windows being tinted. I recently purchased this vehicle new from a dealer and it came with that tinting. Im wondering either how i got a ticket for it, or how the dealer could sell a car with the tinting if it is illegal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Daniel

The court date will be changed to accomodate the officer. That is why it is noted on your citation. It is up to you, the car owner, to make sure the car is legal, not the dealer. Other than clarifying the above, you provide no evidence to have the citation dismissed.
