speedy trial

What is the name of your state?
minnesota

(a) A victim has the right to request that the prosecutor
make a demand under rule 11.10 of the Rules of Criminal
Procedure that the trial be commenced within 60 days of the
demand. The prosecutor shall make reasonable efforts to comply
with the victim's request.

what exactly is this saying? am i not eligible for a speedy trial unless i specifically requested it? should my court date be within 60 days of my ticket? within 60 days of my pre-trial?

Provide the statute number.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

The statute that you are trying to include is:
"611A.033 Speedy trial; notice of schedule change.
(a) A victim has the right to request that the prosecutor make a demand under rule 11.10 of the Rules of Criminal Procedure that the trial be commenced within 60 days of the demand. The prosecutor shall make reasonable efforts to comply
with the victim's request."

And since you posted this under the 'Speeding and Other Moving Violations' of this forum, presumably you are trying to apply this clause to a speeding violation, correct???

If so, how are you a VICTIM??
Bottom line... this clause does NOT apply to a speeding ticket violation... especially considering that 'victim' as used in this stature is defined in 611A.01(b) as:
"victim" means a natural person who incurs loss or harm as a result of a crime, including a good faith effort to prevent a crime, and for purposes of sections 611A.04 and 611A.045..... "

i'm sorry. my bad. i actually looked at that and had second thoughts, but i assumed for some strange reason that the prosecutor would have to be prosecuting me, and didn't even look at the title. ill do my homework and actually post a valid question next time.
