Statute of Limitations???What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Ohio over 8 years ago, my wife had been pulled over for speeding. at the time we had no money to pay the fine and she had opted for community service, to which she did not show. (it would have been an embarrassment to the law firm she worked for at the time) Suffice it to say the ticket was never resolved. Yesterday, it finally caught up with her. As I type this post, She is on her way to the courthouse to turn herself in. We have every intent on putting this issue to rest once and for all, but I do have one curiosity. Isn't there a statute of limitations on traffic violations? If so what is the limitation? |

| There is no SOL for traffic violations. And it would not matter in this case anyway. Your wife's problem is she failed to comply with the terms of her sentence and a warrant was issued. And there are no SOL's for warrants either.

| I see now. Thanks. Fortunately it has been taken care of now. She wasn't booked or arrested, and they let her just pay the fine and be done with it. |
