Stolen Car

What is the name of your state? WI

My car was stolen on Dec 7th, 2002 and I recently received a call stating that it was recovered. When I called the tow lot they explained that the charge is $1635, ironically i was informed that my hometown's police department never reported it stolen. Is there a way I can get this waived or reduced? Thanks.

Did your insurance company pay you for your loss?

I didn't have insurance! I had a 86 Olds Cutlass Supreme.

Then, the answer is simple - - you take the loss. Obviously, the storage charges are more than the value of the vehicle.
