What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
I was driving on a one way street where the two left lanes from the freeway merge onto the city street. The lane I was in had a stop sign where I am suppose to stop and make sure its clear and safe before merging with those two left lanes coming from the freeway. I made a complete stop past the white line since I couldnt really see the traffic that was coming from the freeway unless I stopped further ahead. The intersection I was in was somewhat unique. Its a T-intersection where you can only go one way or make a right. There were no other cars around me. I was then pulled over by the officer. He was hiding in the T-intersection corner. The officer said that I did not come to a complete stop. I said I did. He then said you stopped past the white line. I said I had to stop further up so that I could have a clear vision in order to safely merge.
My question is do I have a good case at fighting this in court?
