Stop sign on bicycle in Dallas TX

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?I received a ticket for running a stop sign (marked as "Ran stop sign" on ticket) in Dallas Texas while ridding my bike. As I was going through the intersection and could finally see past the bush to my left (blocking a clear view of the road that intersected/almost dead-ends into the one I was traveling on), I noticed a police car coming up the street toward the intersection. He turned to follow me, pulled me over, and wrote me a ticket.

Trouble is, I don't think he could have been sure I didn't stop behind the sign because it is not visible from his vantage point. All he could do was assume that I had run it based on my apparent speed. I had just climbed a fairly serious hill (for North Texas) - "Flag Pole Hill" near White Rock Lake - and had not gained much speed yet. Given that I can get off to a very fast start with my light bike and relatively high torque (I can beat almost all cars across an intersection), how can he be sure I didn't stop? Any thoughts on dealing with this?

Take a few pictures of the intersection, showing the bush, and where you stopped.

You are supposed to stop at the sign. Usually if there is an obstruction, you stop at the sign, ease forward, then "when safe" you go. Where was he when you eased forward.

His angle of sight might have been wrong. Show it on the ticket.
