I was given a ticket for failure to stop @ a stop sign. I told the police officer that I had just bought new boots and in switching my foot from the excelerator to the brake, the large sole of the new boot got caught under the brake pedal. By the time I freed it I had rolled thru the stop sign. It was 0555 AM on a deserted side road. Should I fight the ticket?

Not with that lame excuse. It is up to the operator of a motor vehicle to remain in control of that vehicle anytime it is in motion or stopped with the engine running.

Road is a "T". He was at a 90 deg. angle to the road I was on.
