My brother received a speeding ticket that says he was going 73 in a 60 mph zone, in a speed trap, the posted speed limit was 75 but the officer said it was 60 going down this hill.

The officer delayed my brother and his friend for some time, harrassing them, saying things like, "I didn't see your seat belt on" and "Do you have anything illegal back there? Tell me about it." Finally he wrote out a ticket.

The ticket states he must appear in court August 18 at 9 a.m. August 18 is a Sunday. Could that be correct? Does an incorrect date invalidate the ticket?

My brother phoned the number on the ticket numerous times but always gets a busy signal.

He is willing to take the defensive driving course, but needs to speak with someone in that county about their procedure.

What recourse does he have?

That cops trying to set him up. He'll be waiting for him at thcourt house on that Sunday.

Instead of calling he needs to go to the court and talk to the court clerk.
