My son is staying in Ocean shores wa. and he was pulled over for a tail light and the officer found that he had a suspended drives licence for not showing proff of insurance. They impounded his car and took him to the police station for 45minutes and set him loose with a court date of march26th.(court only once a month in OC) Mean while his car is impound at the tune of $30 a day. He called the prosecutors office to see fi there was something she could do sooner to take care of his ticket and get his licence back. He has proof of insurance now. She said that she would see what she could do and that was two weeks ago. He is working for minimum wage, he wants to make it right, she will not return his calls. I am writing this because he has not way of emailing anyone and has turned for us to help. What legal recourse do we have. We bought the car can we put a lien on it and get out sooner. Or does he have to wait until march 26yh in order to show proof of insurance. He is getting buried.
