my husband was arrested for operating with a suspend registration, due to insurance lapse, in Sufflok County NY. It also states on the ticket that his license was restricted/suspended. Someone told me that there is mandatory jail time. Is this true?

Thanks I already looked at the dmv site and did not find the answer. I could just be missing it though.
