Suspended License: Need a lawyer?

What is the name of your state? Texas

Due to several "Failure To Appear" tickets issued as a result of Driving without Insurance, I was not able to renew my license. I still have 3 more tickets to pay before I can get my license back.

While in teh process of paying off these outstanding tickets, I was pulled over for speeding, and was taken to jail for driving with a suspended license.

This is my first offense for driving with a suspended license, and I would like to know what to expect in the courtroom.

Is there a way I could have this case dismissed if I show up at court with all my prior tickets paid? (I know there is an additionsla 100$ fee to renew a suspended licese)

I just want to get out of this with a fine, or perhaps probabtion. I really do not want my license suspended for any longer, would I be better off retaingin a lawyer to discuess the penalty with the DA?
