I got sited for no ins. no reg. and driving on a suspended license in NM. All of this happened two weeks before I was to move to texas in 1996. I missed my court date because I did not have the money to return to NM. I did find out how much the fines were and attempted to pay them but the court refused to take the money. The judge said that I would have to go back to NM to spend seven days in the county jail. Is there any way to get around the jail time as I do not have the money and I could end up losing my job?
