What is the name of your state? North Carolina

I received a ticket last year for driving with expired tags and no insurance. I failed to appear at the court date that was scheduled, and my license has been suspended for almost 1 year. I am relocating to Florida in a few months, and will need to get a new license down there. Can I get a new license in Florida with a suspended license in NC?

Better Cancel Your Relocation Plans

Or I guess you can move to FL, and when you're suspension is comming due, rent a temporary apartment in NC so you have an NC address when you apply for your NC license. Once you get your NC license, then you can go back to the FL DMV and exchange it for a FL license. But don't quote me on that.

A: Surrender to the NC authorities.

We won't..... because FL will pull the NC status when the license is surrendered (to get the FL one).
