Suspesions Getting Out Of Hand

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

Last night, I was pulled over and charged with:

1. Driving with a suspended license.
2. Driving with an expired registration.

This happened after serving 1-year & 11-months of a recent two year suspension. I have not had my license for two years and was planning on getting it back exactly 30 days from now. I am a 21-year old college student and I work from home on my own online company. I need my license badly for running business related errands and commuting to college. I have multiple suspensions on my driving record. A good buddy of mine told me that he is very good friends with the officer that cited me and make a phone call to him on my behalf. I don't know if there is anyway of having the charges reduced or plea bargaining so that I do not loose my license again. I need any legal help that I can get.

No, you do not need legal help. You need to stop being a complete idiot and stop thinking that the suspension does not pertain to you.

Or do you think the judge is handing down these sentences with a 'but you can ignore it...' under his breath.

And you're a spoiled little punk brat who thinks the law doesn't apply to him. Have fun walking. Your license should be revoked. PERIOD!

Get a lawyer ... you're going to need one.

Good luck ... and should they decide to take your license again (and I have a feeling that even with a good lawyer you're probably going to lose it for some length of time), learn from this and wait to drive until after you get your license back.

Eventually, you're going to go to jail instead of getting tickets. I'm surprised you haven't spent a fortune yet in retrieving cars from impound lots.

It's real easy to keep a driver's license ... follow the rules and show up for court when cited.

BelizeBreeze,

I would also pound your face in if I ever met you in person. Then we'll see how perfect you really are.

I just wanted to copy that so it's still here after he's banned.

I wonder why such a nice guy has so many problems with the police. Go figure. Must be discrimination.

In addition to driver training, I think he needs some anger management.

Yeesh.

coming from a law student, you have little chance of keeping your license. my advice? move out of the country - you own a web business, you can manage that from anywhere in the world. and coming from a human perspective, i feel for you. the same thing happened to me, that's why i'm in law school. a wise man once said: you're better off starting a fire in his belly than throwing stones at his feet.
oh, and for anyone condescending this young man: you are the ignorant white trash descrace of this country. you're the reason our children die in meaningless war, and karma will have it's way with you.

Shame on you, BelizeBreeze, for just automatically assuming s/he's the kind of person that would keep driving on a suspended license and then whine when s/he gets caught.

I love the part where he gets caught with only a month to go. It's like the idiots that break out of jail a week before their release date, and get locked up for another year.

It is an old post - no need to get emotional or even bring it out of the archives.
