Tailgating ticket, Alameda County, CAI was cited for tailgating, and I'm only sixteen, so I was also cited for having two other people in my car and it was after 11 pm. The courtesy letter came, and I have to appear in court. Will my license be taken away? Will the judge tell me to do traffic school, along with paying the ticket? | No one can tell you for certain what WILL happen, but the odds of your license being taken away are slim ... unless you have other violations. Yes, you should be permitted to take traffic school if you wish. It is also possible that this will be handled informally through juvenile court or juvenile probation, but that tends to happen more often in smaller counties. - Carl
