What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee
This question came up in discussion:
Person receives a traffic ticket in 1988, moves out of state later on. Oklahoma is currently holding a suspension on his license for this ticket. Tennessee says they want $1456 before they will release. Can they do this on a 20 year old traffic ticket?
Is there such thing as a "Statute of Limitations" for paying a traffic ticket? If so, would that SOL be tolled by the person leaving the state?
Do many states have a reciprocal agreement by which they will suspend or revoke a license based upon an unpaid ticket in another state?
TIA, everyone.
