Question

ticket/arrest

MD

my friend saw an officer giving a ticket to a lady looked over at the officer and made eye contact. he then witnessed the officer making a u-turn and start to follow him. he was then pulled over supposedly for running a redlight. my friend refused to sign the ticket. the officer arrested him. then wrote another ticket claiming he assualted him. my friend had a baby in the car!! Help! what are his chances of beating this?

Beating it with what??? A stick, a club??

Seriously, NO one here can answer your question since we cannot review the case or the evidence against your 'friend'.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

For what it's worth, such an officer has probably had complaints against him before. His last name wasn't "Casto" was it? I'd get a lawyer if you can afford it. I'd take it to court anyway. Cops don't like to go to court. If you're lucky, he'll have to go on his time. By the way, this assumes that your friend is totally innocent as he claims. A ticket for assault? Wouldn't that be an arrest?

It wasn't casto. He ended up with 2 tickets. one for running the light and the other for refusing to sign a ticket. Hopefully and prayerfully he is one of those cops that hate the courtroom.
