Ticket in New York

What is the name of your state? New York

I have received my first ticket today for supposedly driving 44 in 25. I know for a fact I was not driving that fast. The distance between the traffic lights where the event supposedly occurred was so small, that I would not have had time to get to that speed.

The ticket says I need to appear in court on May 14th. In case the officer does show, what can I do to defend myself?

Also, do I need to sign the Not Guilty part on the ticket, and mail it to my town court? Should I request supporting deposition?

Thats a large amount over the speed limit.

Consider using a traffic lawyer, the amount you will spend will be worth it.
