What is the name of your state? Montana

I recently had a fender bender on my land that done more damage to the neighbors vehicle than mine. He insisted on calling authorities to establish a police report.

At first the officer said that normally on a mountainous road with a narrow plowed out section, it's a wash.

Then he commenced to measuring out everything, after four vehicles had driven over my tracks, only to conclude that I was 6 inches more towards the inside of the road.

I got a ticket for failure to give half the roadway. The road conditions were terribly slick, and it was a private road on my property.

Do I have any recourse?
