Ticket on private property??Alabama I was on my way home from work and after I pulled into my yard and was on my way to the door a cop pulled into my yard. He stated if I had a weapon on me and that someone had told him I had one. I told him no and he searched my car and found nothing. He then said my tag was expired and gave me a ticket for an expired tag and no insurance. Can a cop pull into your yard after you have already exited your vehicle and give you a ticket? He never hit his lights or siren.

| Nothing in your post suggests the officer did anything illegal. I would suggest talking to a local attorney if you want to fight the ticket.
