What is the name of your state? Michigan
I received a ticket for running a stop sign.
I believe the officer made a mistake, though
I contributed to his error by stopping
early (a car length or more before the sign).
It occured at a "T" Intersection.
I was proceeding eastward along the top (horizontal) part of the "T".
I stoppped one car length or more before the stop sign since there was no white line to mark where to stop. Also there were 3 boys at the corner waiting for the school bus and I wanted to leave plenty of room for them. After looking left and forward I proceeded.
The officer was on a motor cycle hiding behind a car about 80 yards dead straight ahead of the intersection where I was stopped.
He claims I was travelling 12 mph through the intersection though
he had a poor vantage point and no white lines to tell exactly when I passed through the intersection.
I have a good record and do not wish to have points on my record
for something I feel I didn't do.
