Ticket for speeding and using a radar detectorWhat is the name of your state? NC While driving through VA, received a ticket for both speeding 80 in a 65 and also had a radar detector. Is there anyway of avoiding getting points on my license? I heard about asking for ajudication, but don't know what it is for and don't want to do any damage further to my record. I will send in the money to pay the fine, but want to avoid getting points. I am not appearing in court, because it's too far away. Anyone with some advice???? |

| This is form my son who got the ticket. He has gotten some others in TX while in college, but so far, nothing has shown on his records. I just don't want our insurance to increase and want to avoid that. |

| Call the clerk of court in VA and try to get permission for him to attend traffic school. VA accepts online school so he can do it on the computer. You will have to pay the fines but it will not appear on his record. For more info on traffic school: http://www.trafficschoolonline.com/?lcode=4013 |
