ticket technicalityWhat is the name of your state? Colorado On my ticket there is portion that reads, "My signature is a promise to pay this penalty assessment within 20 day. With payment, I adknowledge guilt of all charges listed above and understand that the points indicated will be assessed against my driver's license. If I do not pay, my signature is promise to appear in court." Now my question is, I was not asked to sign the ticket and I still have not signed it. Is there anything this can do for me? |

| Probably not. Some states allow the officer to issue tickets with an RTS(refuse to sign) or allow you to leave without signing the ticket. |

| It doesn't make any difference. What is important is that if you just pay the ticket you are pleading guilty and the ticket goes on your MVR. If you show up for court you may be able to get it reduced depending on the judge and your violation. Your best bet may be online traffic school which is accepted in Colorado. See my post in the Traffic School and Driving Records thread. |
