Ticket for uninsured.

What is the name of your state? Kansas

I have recently been ticketed for being uninsured. My insurance had lapsed by six days. I immediantly went home and got new insurance that evening. My court date is coming up.
What can I expect my penalty/ fine to be?

If you renewed with the same company then there should have been no lapse in coverage. Talk to your insurance agent.

It is important to never let your insurance lapse for non payment. The insurance companies look at this as a black mark on your record and your premiums could increase. If you can't pay, cancel and park the car.

Most of the time, if you bring your valid insurance to court, they'll drop the charges. Depends how hardass your local law enforcement is.

But he was uninsured for those six days but I agree talk to your agent see if they cover you retroactive for those six days then you might get the ticket dismissed.

MAYBE you might get lucky if your insurance company likes you and is willing to retro actively cover your azzzzz.

If Not then......

Once Motor vehicles finds out, your license will probably be suspended, and you will have to get high risk insurance.

Second: I cant belive you are sooooo stoooopid. You see boy the insurance
companies have these nice liitle girls on their TOLL FREE 800 NUMBER just waiting
for you to call and pay your bill.

All you need is a credit card or a checking account, and the whole thing takes less
then 15 minutes...

Hell I just paid my payment today over the phone in an Totally automated
system...i entered my policy #, my credit card #, the amount of the payment, and
15 SECONDS later i got a verification # that means my insurance is still valid and
paid up...

I know YOU can do the same thing if you try hard enough.
