ticket for unregistered/uninsured vehicle

What is the name of your state?pennsylvania

i got pulled over for my registration being out of date and my insurance had just expired by about a month. i didn't renew it because i just had a kid and honestly just forgot about it. everything is legal now but i got something in the mail saying my registration and license will be suspended for 3 months. i cant afford not to have a license i have to go to work. i had everything legalized within a couple weeks of the ticket. i need to now what my options are and if they can still suspend my license and registration if everything is legal
