Ticket in VA from MD

What is the name of your state? MD

Yesterday I got a ticket for 76/55 and on the citation it just says speeding (46.2-870) that and that I can prepay it. However 46.2-872 states that 20+ is reckless driving. But on the ticket it says if I get a reckless then I can not prepay it. My question is does it automatically default to reckless driving or does the cop accually have to cit. I plan on speaking to a lawyer about it regarless.

46.2-870 is simply speeding. The officer would have had to charge you with 46.2-862 if it were to be reckless for speed. Consider yourself lucky and either pay or appear.
