Ticketed for driving with expired license

What is the name of your state?North Carolina

My husband was pulled over for driving unstably. He was not ticketed for this, but was ticketed b/c his license had expired. He should have gotten it renewed 15 days prior, but was not aware it was time to renew his license. He has since renewed his license. We are receiving many legal service letters. If he shows up to court on his date, will this be dismissed or do we need to get a lawyer to have it dismissed?

Hubby should go to court with his new license and show the prosecutor; ask the prosecutor if he will drop the case. If not, then show the license to the judge and beg for mercy.

If you show that the issue is remedied, you have a good chance of getting it dismissed. You don't need a lawyer for this, just good manners and honest face.
