Ticketed on private property

What is the name of your state? Colorado
I was at fault in a fender bender which happened on private property, a mall area. When the city police officer arrived on the scene, he announced that he "had no jurisdiction on private property" and gave us the option of merely exchanging information or he could make out a police report. The offended party chose the latter. I was presented a ticket for "careless driving" which involves a $100 fine & 4 points off my driver's license. (My driving record had been spotless). There is no question about my paying for damages. The question is: What authority did the officer have to issue me a traffic ticket?

Most private property with public 'invited/access' has the option of allowing police to cite. In this case, they presumably did.
If you don't like it or feel that they didn't have that permission/right.... then show up on the date/time required and present it as a defense.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
