What is the name of your state? Minnesota

How long does a state have to act on late fees? The state of Louisiana is going to revoke my Husbands driving privlages due to late fees (paid tickets) dating back to 1990, 1996 and 1999.

Due to this the state of Minnesota is also revoking his privlages. Is this right or is there a time limit on these charges? What can we do?

There is no SOL for traffic tickets. The only way for your husband to retain his driving priveliges will be to pay the fines and late fees. Another scofflaw caught up in the State Drivers License Compact.

Were the tickets paid when they were supposed to be paid and now they are seeking late fees

or

Did you not pay on time, late fees accrued, you paid the fine but not the late fees?

as far as he knows the tickets were paid on time.. and when the third ticket of the three was paid it was paid in person at the louisiana dmv... no mention of late fees were brought to his attention at any time... it is the minnesota dmv who informed him of these fees... the louisiana dmv has already revoked his privlages now minnesota is doing the same
