Question

traffic court procedure

What is the name of your state? Texas
Was given a citation in Sept 04 for no seatbelt by city cop. Plead 'not guilty' and asked for a jury trial on 11/18/04 at 'pretrial hearing'. I checked with the court clerk last week and no trial date has been scheduled yet.
Does the state have a time limit to bring this case to trial?
Is it still possible for me to file pre-trial motions?
If no one knows the answers to these questions, can anyone tell me where to find them?
