Traffic court today - Please Help

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona

I got pulled over in a 25mph zone, the sign says "25MPH - Zero Tolerance", near our primary school, but not in a "school zone". I was following another car, doing the same speed as them, but not paying attention to that speed. I saw one of those radar machines that show your speed and the car in front of me registered at 32mph, I let off the gas the second I saw the speed and got nailed by the officer. He pulled me over and said I was doing 35 and that it was a zero tolerance zone. I didn't bother trying to explain about the car in front of me, I could tell he wasn't going to hear anything I said.

Anyway, I went back later and took 3 different pictures and also measured (with the odometer) the distance between the speed machine and the officers location, it was exactly .10 of a mile. My husband knows a lot of the police officers (we live in a small town), the Cheif, and a few Sargeants. He called one of them and explained the location of the officer and the speed machine and asked if and officer is normally posted in front the machine or not. The Sargeant said no, it's not normal and it would be discussed at a meeting they had scheduled for the next day. My husband's arguement is that the machine is to remind people they are speeding and to slow down (which is what I did as soon as I saw it), but since the officer was posted BEFORE the machine, it was like a trap. The very next day, that same officer was parked, with his radar gun about 1/4 mile before the trap instead of his previous location of .10 miles away from it. Curious.

Anyway, I have court today and wanted to know if anyone had any tips or advice for me to fight this ticket? I admit I was speeding, but I wasn't doing 35 and I wasn't the only one. I can't go to traffic school because I got a ticket last year and went then, I admit was speeding then. Also, I am not a chronic speeder, the last time I got a speeding ticket (or really even sped for that matter) was about 9 years ago, before that it was about 20 years ago. I really appreciate any fast help you can provide. Thanks a lot. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
